2018

Year Established

Second Chance Aspin Shelter Philippines Inc.

Established in 2018, Second Chance Aspin Shelter Philippines Incorporated provided a home for strays, abused, and abandoned cats and dogs. Aspin or "Asong Pinoy" (directly translated as "Filipino Dogs") are Philippine native dogs, while Puspins ("Pusang Pinoy," directly translated as "Filipino Cats"). We strive to give them a second chance by providing them a home and preparing them for their furrever homes. Unfortunately, strays are rampant in the Philippines, and there are many cases of abandonment and animal cruelty. The shelter is currently located at Calamba, Laguna. Originally, SECASPI is a home for 40+ dogs and 20+ cats. We currently reached our limit of 50+ dogs because of animals being dumped in front of the shelter. We are still hoping to find a forever home for more than half of them. The costs of treating, rehabilitating, and giving these animals a happy life are solely funded by donations.
